Kunzite Info: Kunzite is a variety of Spodumene, and most often appears in pale pink due to the traces of manganese in the crystal structure. It is named after gemologist George Frederick Kunz, the first person to identify it as a unique Spodumene variety. This gem's hardness is 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, making it ideal for fine jewellery. It has also often been used in spiritual healing practices.
